Is it possible with the friction from the tires or would they have to have a faster velocity like the speed of a car?

is this a real question<

Because..its all up and down hills..unless you got Electric Wheel Chair..its gonna be hard walking

The age range with the highest incidence in Bournemouth is 20-24.

Check this site: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/census2001/pyramids/printV/00HN.asp

The percentage of the population over 65 (in 2001) was
Males: 17%
Females: 24%
TOTAL: 21%

Admittedly, that is higher than many places, but still not excessive. Bournemouth, like many seaside resorts on the south coast, is a popular place for retirement because the sea air is supposed to be good and also, owing to demand, facilities for the retired are good, so it’s self-perpetuating.

In fact, 63% of the population are between 15 and 64 and therefore are of working age and have earning potential (66% male, 61% female). As I said, the age group with the highest number are young people between 20 and 24 (8% of the total population).

Please don’t think (as many do) that once one is 65, one is old and ‘past it’! That is a terrible, ageist misconception that is worse than saying ‘if you are not white, you are therefore a criminal’!

I am 34, have cancer, gained a bunch of weight after radiation, and I have to walk with a cane because of the pain. I have three kids, and I do use a motorized wheel chair when I shop. People look at me like I am an alien, or some lazy fat @$$ who just sits around and eats bon-bons and thats why I am using the chair. I have even had people make smart comments to me in front of my children. I don’t care what people think of me, but it does tend to bother me when people pull this crap in front of my children. Any suggestions short of running them over with my chair???!?!?

lol…I know people can be so rude….but be better than them! Just say something that will put them in their place…."please don’t judge, by what you don’t know!" or "Don’t you think I would rather be walking if I could so I wouldn’t have to hear people like you make such rude comments about me in front of my children, thank you and YOU have a wonderful day!"

I have a friend that has a Electric Wheel Chair and he wants me to hook up a auxuillary battery up to it so when it get low on juice you can flip a switch and run it off the secondary battery. I was thinking about using a solenoid and a deep cycle battery would this work? How would I hook up to the other batteries to do this? + to where – to where. could I put a solenoid between the origional battery and the secondary battery and have this work?

The battery would need to be a sealed type for safety. Remember a solenoid will use power. You have to know the battery ratings and the current requirements so you can choose the correct contacts. If you choose something rated too low you could end up with a fire on your hands. If the chair uses 10 amps, you will want something with contacts rated for at least 15 amps to provide a safety margin.

You will need a DPDT contactor with the common terminals to the chair, the NC terminals to the primary battery and the NO terminals to the aux battery. Hook up the control switch for the solenoid power to the aux battery, not the primary. Use the same size wires as are already in the chair for the power connections.
