I have a friend who broke his back and needs his wheelchair repaired, I’m pretty good at electrical and electronic repair and have worked on medical equipt. before. I understand motors and operation but am a little weak on controls but I am a quick study.
More info is needed. What type of control system does the chair use, a modern or older chair for example. The electronic circuitry is fairly straight forward, but without more information little can be done. If you can locate my email on this site, write me and I’ll try to help. I have 36 years experience in electronic control systems.

won’t move. Any ideas? Probably the batteries have gone bad?
wet cell batteries (like car batteries) are not good after 4 – 8 months not being used….the battery acid is sulphuric acid, and the sulphur comes out of it, leaving only water. The sulphur sticking to the plates stops the battery working even if you pt in new acid.
Get a new battery. If a standard car one fits, you buy it ready charged.
CHeck all the wires and cables are clean and not corroded Wash off corrosion with steel wooll and a mixture of 1 big spoon Soda bicarbonate in a cup of water – wear gloves as the corrosion can sting, (Soda Bicarb is also called baking soda and is about $2 in the supermarket. It neturalises the acid.)
I’m auditioning for a college line and i would really love to play a segment of this for my prepared piece.
This is the best I could find. It costs money, but at least it’s obtainable.
